Well it is now only two days until 40 Salvatorian Collaborators from Australia embark on the inaugural pilgrimage organised by their Leadership Team. By travelling “In the Footsteps of Father Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan” the Salvatorian Collaborators would like to mark the end of the Year of Father Jordan and to thank God for the gift of his remarkable life. Following the footsteps of Fr Jordan, they will also have an opportunity to deepen their love for this extraordinary person and priest.

The Spiritual Director is Fr Leonard Macionczyk SDS who will look after the spiritual experiences and also share his knowledge of and love for Fr Jordan.

 The Pilgrimage Director is Anne Cullender. Anne is the Leader of the Salvatorian Collaborators in Australia and together with Fr Leonard represented Australian Salvatorian Collaborators at the gathering of the Lay Salvatorians held in Vienna in 2008. She has a Masters Degree in Catholic Spirituality and is currently Principal Schools Advisor for the Catholic Education Office in Geraldton.

The pilgrims will visit Gurtweil and Tafers, and then they will travel across Austria to Passau and Prague, and from there they will go to Trzebnica via Wambierzyce and Wroclaw. They will visit Salvatorian Major Seminary in Bagno and spend some prayerful time at the Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki as well as pay homage to the Queen of Poland in Czestochowa, and then Pilgrims will travel to Zakopane via Kalwaria Zebrzydowska and Ludzmierz. Whilst at Trzebinia they will visit Aushwitz, Pszczyna and Wadowice. To conclude the pilgrimage they will fly from Cracow via Warsaw to Rome where they will visit the tomb of Father Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan, the Founder of the Salvatorian Family. Whilst in Rome they will stay in the Salvatorian Sisters at Villa Maria.

The Australian Salvatorian Collaborators are fulfilling the wishes of Fr Francis Jordan by undertaking this pilgrimage.
