Today at St Patrick's Parish in Gosford NSW the Regional Superior of the Salvatorian order in Australia Fr George Kolodziej SDS celebrated the Eucharist and after Mass blessed the newly planted Remembrance Tree and associated Memorial Plaque.
This tree symbolises St Patrick's compassion and commitment towards vulnerable who have been hurt in the past, and for our church, as we move forward to the future; that we will always show respect, be ready to listen, and be prepared to help all children and vulnerable adults to feel safe, both now and forevermore.
"... All of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, at tender heart and a humble mind." 1 Peter 3:8.
We can never change the past but, we can show our remorse and commit to a stronger and more positive future for all.
The Salvatorian Order and the Priests who belong to this order have served the Parish of since the beginning of February 2003. In that time they have dedicated themselves to our parish and the safeguarding of all, especially children and vulnerable members of the community.
