family retreatFollowing the winter break it was time to begin a new season of retreats. We started our journey on the evening of Friday the 13th of November in Mount Dale. Father Adam Babinski SDS, who was our spiritual leader, welcomed us in this beautiful location on the top of the Perth Hills.

RelicsSt Anthony’s Parish in Greenmount was privileged to have the relics of three saints – its patron saint, St Anthony of Padua; St John Paul II and St Mary of the Cross MacKillop – installed in its church by Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB on 7 November 2015.

Chapter 2015

At the end of September our community in Australia gathered on Regional Chapter to reflect on the past in order to look forward into the future. Theme of our Chapter was taken from the Salvatorian Missionary Year  “The Saviour’s mission is our passion”.

Over the two Sundays 31st of May and 7th of June, two new Lay Salvatorians have made their commitment to being members of the Salvatorian Family and are now joined with the International Community of the Divine Saviour around the world.

In between 26-27 April Fr.Adam Babinski organized reflection days on the track, Bibbulmun Track. 6 families - 12 adults and 16 children’s - took a part in this amazing venture. The total distance of 12km has been planned based on ability of small kids. The youngest child that partially walked and partially has been carried by parents was 2 years old girl.

On the 2nd and 3rd of May a retreat for prayer, reflection and fellowship was held at the Salvatorian community house in Currambine.

To me, the intention of this event was to demonstrate the daily prayer structure of our Priests, as well as step away from our own lives for a while to build our faith in prayer and reflection.

The Lay Salvatorian group residing across Australia is ready to make welcome our newest member, Mrs Judy David from the Parish of Holy Spirit Embleton.

Judy has been a Collaborator Leader for over four years and in that time, has supported the work being undertaken by Lay Salvatorians.
