This week (5-9 Sep 2011) our Salvatorian community in Australia has experienced an annual retreat. It was held in St John of God Sisters retreat house in Safety Bay, south of Perth, WA. The retreat master was Fr Lukasz Kleczka SDS.
The retreat was a very interesting and inspiring experience for me. The content of the presentations was a good reminder of basic principles of spiritual life. It also presented a challenge for me of the need to be better in the future in terms of my Salvatorian and priestly life and ministry.
A few points that I wrote:
1. Do I allow the Gospel to surprise me?
2. Am I a person for whom the Gospel is something always fresh and attractive?
3. To see a priest who prays is an attractive picture.
4. Am I a priest who believes in God?
5. It is possible to become a specialist theologian but not necessary be a person of faith.
Thank you Fr Lukasz for providing us with so much food for thoughts and an inspirational sharing of your knowledge, experience and wisdom.
